Claralys’s honeycomb fabric is a technological improvement over the rigid screen found on generic filters.

Claralys’s consistent fabric catches more particles, faster. The standard industry filtration material is a random jumble of fibres, pressed and melted together to form a sturdy but uneven mesh.  Some areas form a dense sieve, and catch fine particles at the cost of reduced water flow, while neighbouring areas provide minimal resistance to water flow, but don’t catch dirt so well.  This means that most water flows through the areas of the fabric that provide the worst filtration.  Claralys’s even fabric optimises filtration by using the entire surface of the filter, while maintaining a high flow rate.

Catching dirt is only half the battle. The filter’s job is to catch dirt, right? Actually no, that’s only half the job. An effective filter must catch dirt, and then release it again when rinsed, otherwise it will have a very short life.  Standard filters, with their rigid mesh of fibres, cling on to dirt, and are difficult to clean.

Claralys’s point-bonded filtration fabric allows the fibres to move and separate slightly when rinsed, releasing dirt more easily.  When less dirt gets embedded in the mesh, your filters will last longer, and your spa will stay cleaner.
